Asiya Mohamed Sururu is a Kenyan female para-athlete, motivational speaker and an early childhood teacher by profession.

In 1994 at two years of age, she had train accident and lost both of her legs and three fingers on her left hand. On the same day of the accident, she lost her father and few years later she lost her mother and became an orphan at the age of eight.

Asiya is the first Kenyan female rower to participate in either Olympics or Paralympics, she was awarded state honors by his excellency Uhuru Kenyatta during Mashujaa day. Currently a world record holder in 60 and 30 minutes on erg machine in PR1 women category.

A winner of 40 under 40 women by business daily, five time gold medalist in standard chartered marathon and three time African qualifiers of BNB Paribas World Team Cup.
