Carlos Heredia


Carlos Heredia was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. After spending some of his childhood living in Connecticut, USA, his family moved back to Barcelona where Carlos finished his studies, graduating from the International Baccalaureate from the American School of Barcelona.

Carlos had the option of attending a British University but decided to explore his dream of becoming a professional footballer. From being in the Barcelona Academy, Carlos signed for Wolverhampton Wanders U23’s, where they won the league in his last season at the club. Whilst playing professionally, he also graduated from the Open University with a Sports Management degree in 2020. After a brief spell playing in Poland, Carlos moved to the Dominican Republic, where his dad was born, to play for Cibao FC. In the 3 years Carlos has lived there and played for the club, Cibao FC have won the league for 3 consecutive seasons.

Off the pitch, Carlos is deeply passionate about supporting children in developing countries. From this Carlos founded a football academy, to give back to the growing football community in the Dominican.
