Daisy Baker

Iron Distance Triathlete

Daisy Baker is a 21-year-old phenomenon. After competing at the English Schools level for 800 meters and receiving a triathlon scholarship at Millfield School, she started working towards becoming a sports teacher to give back to grassroots athletics development.

Daisy transitioned to middle distance triathlon after showing tremendous potential on the bike. On her 18th birthday, she competed in her first Ironman 70.3 race in Portugal. She made the podium, taking silver for her Age Group (18-24) and qualifying for the World Championships, where she placed 12th.

Daisy then travelled east and took on a very hot Ironman 70.3 in Muscat, Oman, where she placed 2nd Woman overall. This incredible result won her an invitation to return to Oman and compete in Ironman 70.3 Salalah and again placed 2nd Woman overall, winning a return to the Ironman 70.3 World Championships.

After winning the Salisbury Plain Ultra 80 km trail race, Daisy capitalised on her endurance training and took on Ironman Barcelona. This was her first time competing in a full-distance triathlon. She placed third in her Age Group and qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, in 2025.

Daisy is an incredibly humble and hard-working young athlete who coaches herself and offers her talent to support her peers whom she inspires.
