Daphne Schrager is one of the world’s leading para-cyclists, competing on both the track and road, who’s at the start of an exciting career. Daphne currently represents Great Britain and has competed at the Paralympics and multiple World Championships, all while whilst winning multiple medals.

She’s a 7 X World Championship Medallist, with 3 World Track Titles, and recently won Silver at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

Daphne began her sporting journey after finding inspiration from London 2012 where she watched para sport come alive for the first time. She started as a Para-runner – representing Great Britain for over 5 years – during which time she competed at the Commonwealth Games and World
Championships. Before transitioning to para-cycling, where she has since found more success.

She attended Millfield school where the professional athlete dream was natured, and alongside British cycling where she became the athlete she is today. She has high aspirations for LA2028. Daphne incredibly humble and hard-working young athlete who shows what a super power her disability can be.

On the Bike, Daphne is driven to make change in disability inclusion and empowerment and promoting the Paralympic movement and the huge impact it can have on society. Daphne aims to help change the narrative for disabled people, with the goal of getting them into sports. get them into more sports.
Helping changes the narrative getting people into sport or being active with cerebral
palsy and close linked to great Ormond Street hospital.

Daphne is already making strives away from the track to impact others away from sport. Working closely with Great Ormond Street Hospital, and wanting women to be more open with period health within sports.

She has also collaborated with British cycling, The National Lottery, Shell UK and Pedal to Paris with Chris Boardman and climate change on BBC Breakfast and BCC 5 live for various media events.
