Wheelchair Rugby

Ayaz Bhuta MBE is a distinguished British wheelchair rugby player who has overcome stereotypes and limitations to succeed in his sport.

Beyond his athletic achievements, he is committed to dismantling stereotypes related to disability and religion. Through global speaking engagements, Ayaz advocates for understanding and acceptance, highlighting our shared humanity.

In 2022, Ayaz was awarded an MBE in recognition of his contributions to British sports and his role as an ambassador for disabled athletes. Since retiring from the Great Britain team in 2022, Ayaz passionately delivers inspirational workshops to various institutions, he works for a charity promoting equality for disabled people and finally, Ayaz is also the Assistant Pathway Coach for the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby Talent squad.

His dedication to promoting inclusivity and diversity in sports inspires athletes of all abilities to challenge limitations and redefine possibilities.
