Tokyo 2020 Silver medallist Mallory Franklin is Great Britain’s most successful female slalom canoeist.

She began canoeing at the age of 5 in Windsor and made the British team for the first time in 2009 aged 15. Her first international medal came the following year with a silver medal at the Junior European championships, from there she has gone on to win a total of total of 77 international medals so far, including her silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Mallory competes in three disciplines across canoe slalom, Canoe and Kayak plus the newly added discipline Kayak Cross, giving her the hope of achieving three gold medals at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.

Alongside her canoeing career Mallory is a qualified coach and regularly coaches including coaching young new paddlers for the local club, she has always been very grateful for what her time in sport has given her and aspires to pass on this learning to the next generation and beyond. She has a growing awareness for the environment and a growing passion for doing her part in being a responsible human.
