Saskia Sills is a British windsurfer and member of the British Sailing Team. She was very successful at youth level (4x youth world champion and BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year Nominee). Saskia has recently graduated university with a degree in Economic Geography from Bournemouth University, as well as numerous university awards.
Saskia’s dissertation was about sustainability in elite sport, centred around single use plastic usage of elite sailors. She is very passionate about the environment and sustainability. Saskia was diagnosed with coeliac disease aged 17 and thought her career as an elite athlete was over. She has worked hard to manage the illness and would like to inspire others with life changing illnesses.. Saskia is currently aiming to compete at Tokyo 2020.
