Andrew Donaldson is a world record-holding Scottish-Australian marathon swimmer, recognised as one of the leading figures in ultra-marathon swimming.
In 2023, he became the fastest person in history to complete the Oceans Seven challenge, conquering the world’s seven toughest channel swims in just 355 days with a cumulative swim time of 63 hours and 2 minutes. He broke three world records on that journey, set a British record for the English Channel, and has since gone on to achieve further milestones, including the fastest circumnavigation of Manhattan Island, completing the 46km course in just 5 hours and 42 minutes.
His extraordinary year of achievements saw him voted Man of the Year in the 2023 World Open Water Swimming Association Awards.
Beyond his accomplishments in the water, Andrew is a passionate advocate for mental health, ocean conservation, and growing the sport of swimming. He has used his record-breaking swims to raise awareness and funds for organisations such as the Black Dog Institute, the Kai Fella Foundation, and the Perron Institute of Neurological Research.
In 2024, he participated in Epic Swim Maui, a world-first, 220km United Nations-backed circumnavigation of Maui, aiming to raise awareness for ocean conservation and sustainability.
Andrew continues to push the boundaries of ultra-marathon swimming, taking on extreme challenges across the globe. He is also a sought-after speaker and ambassador, working with brands and organisations to promote sustainability, mental resilience, and the power of human endurance.
