Cameron Main

Triathlon

Cameron Main is a 24-year-old professional British triathlete, born in Elgin, Scotland, and currently lives in Loughborough, training with Loughborough Triathlon Performance Centre.

He has been involved in the sport of triathlon since the age of 12 and now competes for GB across the globe. More recently he achieved his first big international win at Melilla Europe Triathlon Cup in April 2024. Alongside this Cameron has competed for Scotland at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games and has represented GB at several World Cups, European Championships and World Championships.

Cameron is a student, studying a masters in Sports Management at Loughborough University. Prior to this he graduated from the University of Stirling with an Honours Degree in Sports and Exercises Science. He also runs his own business, Kinetic Coaching, where he works with people of all ages looking to improve their walking, running or movement to increase high performance or health and wellbeing. This helps Cameron to support his triathlon career as he is currently not sponsored or financially funded by any brands or organisations.

Alongside all of Cameron’s commitments with sport and academia he is also the chairman of Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation, a Scottish children’s cancer charity, created by his sister Abbie before she passed away on Christmas Day 2017, at 15 years old.

The charity was founded on the 26th of December 2017 and the aim of the charity is to help children up to the age of 18 who are affected by cancer, by giving gifts and grants, called Sparkles. So far Cameron has helped the charity to raise over £800,000 and helped over 2000 children who have been and are affected by cancer.
