A Lesson In Inclusion Storytelling
Total Media were looking for something very different for their Annual Away Day workshops.
Blind England footballer Azeem Amir had the answer.
His engaging workshop allowed 100+ staff over 4 separate sessions to literally experience life in his shoes – as a blind person.
He blindfolded them, he put headphones on so they couldn’t hear, he asked them to work together to overcome a series of challenges that affected his life so they could have empathy with his condition.
It worked! His 4 hour long sessions on the bounce were extraordinary for their energy, education & humour throughout.
People came away with a completely new appreciation of what its like to be blind through Azeem’s brilliantly authentic way of bringing his story to life.
