The World First & Only 'Underwater Athletes Village'
In 2021 AMG partnered with marine conservation sustainability project Oceans Alive Kenya in a unique way.
We wanted to bring the power of athletes with purpose to help the coral restoration program being delivered on Kenya’s Indian Ocean coastline.
We decided to create the world’s first & only underwater athletes village.
Every time one of our elite athletes won a major global competition we donated a coral table or artificial reef to support the coral restoration project with the athletes name on it. British & Kenyan athletes involved included Hannah Mills OBE, Marlie Packer, Ellie Aldridge, Sophie Coldwell, Collins Injera & Issa Batrane.
The tables & artificial reefs help the coral grow thus helping the reef flourish with fish stocks for the locals to farm sustainably.
King Charles visited the project in November 2023 and AMG has donated 24 tables & artificial reefs to date supporting this precious part of Kenya’s coastline.
